~ Welcome to the Rising Sun Shogunate of Proudmoore.
We have a VERY casual base, and our speed is easy going, though in the past we did raid, we do not currently run teams, Mostly we are just chilling along cozy style doing solo, small groups in dungeon/group finder, and a few strong one’s doing M+ lead the way to bigger things. We carve our future in a unique way for everyone’s enjoyment, at your own speed organically, some love and sunshine. good vibes and adventures – fun friends along the way.
– Membership is open to all~ though we ask you be 18+ or accompanied. It’s an honor-based system since we also value privacy. Be sensibly respectful and you’ll be fine. Your GM (Mononoke) is a very casual world explorer who likes world quests, casual dungeon diving, entry level raids, sometimes i’m geared enough for serious-raids, sometimes i’m catching up, sometimes I’m chatting in town, playing pet battles, checking my fashion… fishing for attention … heh.
Do we raid? – We have in the past, we could again… We’ve raised some serious raid teams in WoW and FF, given them autonomy and support, teams are honored-vaulted units, as if a mini-guild inside a larger one – We’ve also had very casual teams that helped members gear and taught higher level battles. Be creative, how about a fishing team? It’s fun to be creative and think outside the box – so is the way of the Sun.
~ We welcome all goodly souls, and offer whatever support we can to make your space fun and wholesome for you. Play along casually, grab a friend, or If you’d like to make your own team, be it loose/casual or on a schedule, then read on or talk to the Empress, she’ll get you on the right foot, even teach you if you want.

~ Positions ~

~ We are once again rebuilding, and all positions are open. I am specifically looking for good recruiters. It’s a vaulted and honored position in the guild. A few sensible rules about it, you’ll be given room to perform (or Jiyu can teach). it’s a path to leadership and appreciation from those whom you gave a good home, and those who find friends in our newcomers. Those who recruit properly are key to fun diverse community building, and i want to provide fun but structured places to those who join the RSS. Recruiting is not required, and I’ve had awesome leaders of day’s yore who did not recruit and were amazing, loved and appreciated in their roles. — it is a voluntary position, but a valued one.. There is great honor in finding fun interested adventurers & building future leaders that create good spaces around them. Together we raise the sun high.

– The leadership positions are open to those who show interest and proper spirit of the sun. Leadership positions are limited and structured with established protocols. Leaders are expected to know the basics of rules, functions of their rank, and promote the spirit of the Shogunate. I will upon occasion offer a position if i think it fits a member & it needs filled, but I like those who step forward, express desire to be involved and take ownership through positive or creative action – make this YOUR guild, lead it with years of established but simple structure, rules and philosophies to guide the way, ease the “how to” process and maximize consistency in decision making, and know the empress is always there to help, advise, empower. A few caveats to understand, knowing the rules, keeping decorum with fair and level head, and you might be a leader of the Sun.
* I never expect perfection in a leader, i do expect heart, a good try, willingness to learn, honesty and civilities. We’ll build along the way, and in time, do great things if we choose to, or simply enjoy the path if it pleases us <3 – Join me, and lead the way ~ For the Empire ~!

~ Diplomacy ~

~ As Empress, I prize good interactions with other guilds. For our larger well-established guilds, i will always tip my hat & respect it when a member of the Sun transfers out to join them. It was always an honor that one of my members would be accepted to an established raid guild. It was also an honor when one of those raiders chose the Rising Sun as a guild for when they wanted a more relaxed day to enjoy, bringing a wealth of knowledge and great stories to share.
~ Small guilds, I absolutely LOVE TO HELP!! and I love to see our fellow small guilds thrive into what they envision those things to be. If you need some good advice, or words of experience to figure something out, or discuss challenges of guild building/leading – feel free to ask me. I have years of experience in leadership on many realms, in many environments.
~ For refugees, collapsing guilds, leaders that tried: Alas, the Sun has in past times adopted and rescued other small guilds that folded or found guild running to be too difficult. I am absolutely happy to provide a home, be it permeant or temporary to those regrouping, or who desire a cozy place to learn and practice. Be sure to wrap up any internal or exit issues, because it is a balancing policy that we do not interfere with or want to be involved in any outside drama – and complaints from other guild leaders or their officers are taken seriously. We desire positive and interaction, and the Empress prizes manners, decorum and etiquettes when dealing with emissaries, diplomats and messengers.

~ History on Proudmoore ~

Founded 2008 in World of Warcraft on the US Server of Proudmoore, the Rising Sun Shogunate was born of the desire to create a good home for creative players of all speeds. The shogunate was the terror of Orgrimmar upon a time, much of our activates involve open world and public displays of hilarious shenanigans. Our early adventures involved running new guild members across wild lands to reach other cities or quests, back when traversing the raw landscapes of Azeroth was a bit more dangerous. and mages made gold selling portals across it. Later famous for selling buffed Rumsey Rum Black Label out of Iron Forge. Our footprint on WoW’s Proudmoore server reaches back many years, and for some of those years it was trusted members of the community that kept our halls secure while Jiyu dealt with IRL, retirement, and building another guild in Final Fantasy 14. We owe much the these vaulted souls who kept the flame lit in absence of a wayward shogun. Some adventures later, the throne was returned to it’s founding Shogun, a crazy realm traveling Miqo’te Jiyu Mononoke – Warcraft will never be the same – The Sun rises once again.
